Disappointing an arena full of fans, Drake cancelled his concert in Philadelphia over an hour after it was scheduled to begin.
At around 8:30pm, a spokesperson for the Wells Fargo Center announced, "Due to the elaborate nature of tonight’s show and an unexpected technical issue, Drake’s ‘Would You Like A Tour’ concert at the Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia has been postponed until Wednesday, December 18."
The delay comes after the "Started from the Bottom" singer already postponed the tour's start date for three weeks due to "an intense rehearsal schedule and technical production requirements that will be part of the show."
Opening act Miguel was caught off guard by the cancellation, tweeting at 8:35pm, "Man, just found out, unfortunately tonight's show in Philly is cancelled. Can't wait to find out the rescheduled date and come back and rock." To help make up for it, he played a surprise make-up set with his band somewhere else in Philly.
